Under the fading setting sun, the mechanical lotus breathes and glows on the digital desert, suspended between faith and technology.

Rootless Bloom, AR, 2025.
I am currently studying graphic design at the University of Melbourne. My creative practice covers visual design, interactive media and installation art. "Rootless Bloom" is my first work created using AR as the medium. It is a virtual desert where mechanical lotus flowers slowly breathe in digital light, symbolizing an attempt by humans to rebuild faith in illusions. It is not a prediction of the future, but rather a look back, a look back at the emotions, spirituality and connections that we still yearn for in the technological world. My study at VCA gradually led me to develop a creative approach that combines critical thinking with experimentation. I believe that design is not merely construction, but rather a process of re-perception. It allows us to pause in the accelerated pace of time, to listen, to gaze, and to once again touch upon the realities that are vanishing.
