Tejal is an emerging production designer who recently graduated from the Master of Design and Production (Screen) program at the Victorian College of the Arts. She previously studied Fine Arts at Griffith University’s Queensland College of Art, where she built strong foundational design and artistic skills. Her design practice now is deeply rooted by a sensitivity to colour, materiality, and emotions in visual storytelling.
Tejal has lived and worked between India and Australia, contributing to the Indian film and media industry within the art department on projects for Netflix and Disney+ Hotstar. More recently, she completed placements on Australian productions including 'Leviticus', 'Gnomes', and 'Bad Company', further expanding her understanding of production design in the local screen industry.
Now based in Naarm/Melbourne, she is focused on growing her practice within the Australian screen landscape—driven by a love for imaginative storytelling and a passion for crafting rich, immersive visual worlds, particularly within sci-fi and fantasy genres.
