
Poppy Gordon (she/her) is a stage manager based in Naarm with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production) from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). Poppy is the proud 2024 recipient of the Daryl Wilkinson Encouragement Award for excellence in Stage Management.
Over her time at VCA, Poppy has been able to develop her passion and expand her skills in leading empathetic and collaborative environments across various types of theatre, and she hopes to continue this through her future practice.
Her VCA credits include Deputy Stage Manager on 'Into The Woods' dir. Ylaria Rogers, Production Stage Manager on 'The Drowsy Chaperone' dir. Alister Smith, Stage Manager on the Acting and Music Theatre Showcase. Assistant Stage Manager on ‘Ocean (An Arrangement)’ and Lighting Programmer and Operator on ‘A Very Expensive Poison’. She also completed a stage management secondment with Melbourne Theatre Company on 'Destiny'.

My role involved generating the prompt copy and showcalling, which included QLab operation, mechanist cues and many intricate lighting and dome cues.
