Marcus Lew is a burgeoning Naarm/Melbourne-based stage manager and lighting technician with experience in the operation of acting, musical theatre and dance productions. With his studies at the Victorian College of The Arts (VCA) completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production) and a theatrical education from the Victorian Youth Theatre from 2012 until 2021, Marcus brings a multidisciplinary understanding of live performance to his practice that he intends to bring to both management and technical roles alongside the intersection of the two in the future.
Marcus has experience in Stage Management from within the VCA as the Stage Manager for the 2024 contemporary choreographic work (Un)Tethered, the 2025 theatrical work Attempts on Her Life and his continuous work as Stage Manager with the Flemington Theatre Company since 2022. His multi-faceted skill set was further developed in his role as the Assistant Production Manager and Head Electrician of the 2025 contemporary choreographic work Pluriverse at the VCA.
