Felicity (Flick) Ethell is a stage manager and orchestra manager whose greatest passion is calling to a score. She sees her future working in music-driven performance.
While studying a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production), she experienced stage management for musical theatre, opera, text-based works, and dance. She then studied orchestral management with the Australian Youth Orchestra.
Flick's VCA credits include Stage Manager on the opera 'Cendrillon,' Devisor/Stage Manager on the music and dance response to an exhibition 'The Estuary,' Assistant Production Manager on the musical 'Into the Woods,' Orchestral Assistant on the opera 'Hansel and Gretel,' Assistant Stage Manager on the play 'A Very Expensive Poison,' and Stage Manager on the student-led dance work 'Square2.'
In 2025, Flick also completed three secondments: as Orchestra Management Intern with Orchestra Victoria, Stage Management Intern on 'Hadestown' presented by Opera Australia and Jones Theatrical Group, and Stage/Orchestra Management Intern on the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music's Wind Symphony East Coast Tour.
Flick currently works as a casual production assistant for the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and for Orchestra Victoria, while also freelancing as a stage manager. Outside of production, her other professional highlights have been working at the LEGO stall at the Formula 1 Grand Prix, musical directing the one-on-a-part a capella group Limelight, and obtaining a certificate in Writing for Video Games from UBCx.
