Megamark, a series of postcards. Desgined for A copy of A copy project. 2025
This project aims to explore the conflict between copying and copyright in contemporary design. Using the watermark as the entry point — a symbol originally meant to protect authorship but gradually turned into a tool for plagiarism — the study examines how watermarks lose their power through acts of replication and reconstruction, ultimately satirizing the flaws in modern copyright systems.
The core research question is: How can the redesign of copyright watermarks be used as a visual critique of ownership in contemporary media?
Following this line of inquiry, the project will select several Disney watermarks and transform them into commemorative stamps. From these, visual elements will be extracted and re-designed into new watermark-like patterns, which will then be combined into a series of postcards.
The designs suggest that the watermark represents a failed attempt at copyright protection — exposing the impossibility of truly controlling digital piracy.

Nielot. Type specimen for "Nielot" font. 2025
Nielot is designed by Maciej Połczyński (Laïc: Font Foundry from Poland)
and released in 2019.
It is a geometric sans serif typeface inspired by posters and letter shapes
of the Constructivism movement. It aims to provide letters that are
geometric and simple. No decorative elements but it slants. The name
comes from the polish word “nielot” which means flightless.
Its design clearly refers to the right angles, contrasts and minimalist
geometric techniques in the fonts and layouts of Soviet constructivist
posters, and uses industrial single lines or thick lines to achieve
functionalist aesthetics, focusing on force and sense of space.
It is a square font that emphasizes each letter, maintaining a minimalist
design style while being full of industrial and mechanical feeling

Hey everyone, it’s Ethan here!
I’m an international student from China, studying at the University of Melbourne.
I came here to chase my dream — to become a game designer.
I’m majoring in Graphic Design and UX Design.
To be honest, I wasn’t born with a natural sense of aesthetics or artistic talent — I actually started learning design only when I was 20 years old. Every project has been a real challenge for me, and there were times when I felt a lot of pressure.
But now, I’ve learned to truly enjoy it. I love the process of completing each design.
I know my works may not be good, but I like them — and I hope they can bring a little joy to you too!
