Alicia Guiney was the production stage manager on 'Into the Woods' (Dir. Ylaria Rogers), a musical involving a large cast, elaborate set, consumables, puppetry and a band. Alicia successfully coordinated and led a stage management team of six.
On 'Into the Woods' Alicia oversaw the safe use of raised platforms, moving set items, ladders, a moving light that rolled on and off stage, and cast members entering and exiting on moving set items.

'Into the Woods' also involved an actor repeatedly lighting matches onstage. Alicia was responsible for managing this in the rehearsal room and as part of the performance.
Alicia was the stage manager on 'Great Expectations' (Dir. Georgina Naidu), a play which featured complex set transitions, liquids onstage, consumables onstage and glass onstage.

On 'Great Expectations' Alicia oversaw the staging of multiple complex fight scenes as well as the use of an imitation knife and imitation firearm.

On '(Un)Tethered' Alicia Guiney worked collaboratively alongside two other stage managers to create a final dance performance which smoothly integrated four individual works. Alicia was the stage manager for two of those works, 'DISRUPTOR' and 'Drift'.

Alicia was the stage manager on 'DISRUPTOR' (Chor. David Prakash) as part of '(Un)Tethered', which involved calling visual cues off of partially improvised dancing, as well as calling cues off of live mixed music.

Alicia Guiney (she/her) is a Melbourne based Stage Manager. She completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Production) at the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA). At the VCA, Alicia has worked as the Production Stage Manager on 'Into the Woods', the Stage Manager on 'Great Expectations', the Stage Manager on 'DISRUPTOR' and 'Drift' as part of the dance work '(Un)Tethered' and as the Assistant Stage Manager on 'Spring Awakening'. She has also completed a secondment with the Melbourne Theatre Company on 'The Black Woman of Gippsland'. Outside of theatre, Alicia is deeply passionate about literature and history.
